ASTORIA. NY - A selection of leaf-type battery contacts for snap-in mounting of AA batteries directly to the PC board is now available from Keystone Electronics, Corp.
These cost-effective, high reliability devices feature unique spring tension which provides low contact resistance while adjusting to any variations in battery length. Excellent mechanical strength, durability and time-saving assembly are seen as key benefits for the product group. Availability is in either leaf spring (negative, Part #590) or button (positive, Part #596), with each type fabricated from 0.010 nickel-plated spring steel. As such, users no longer need to specify battery brand, size and shape before purchase.
