IEMCA Genius Perfect Fit For Feeding Small Diameter Bars
ST. LOUIS, MO - The new IEMCA Genius Series combines IEMCA mechanical reliability with the flexibility of a CNC control system. Proven over the past 12 years, the IEMCA CNC control provides all necessary parameters to configure every aspect of bar feeding and bar changing operations. This CNC control is now a standard feature on the only loader in the industry to successfully feed bars from 1 mm to 20 mm in diameter. The new Genius Series has an increased 8.5'' magazine capacity, and can now hold two hundred twenty 1 mm x 12' bars. A new and improved double pusher system has been designed to handle these small diameter bars, while decreasing the length of the Genius by a full four feet compared to previous designs.
The patented headstock synchronization device provides a mechanical link direct from the lathe headstock to the bar feed pusher. This, coupled with a telescopic nose is the key to the Genius' superiority in supporting peck drilling and threading operations.
There are a number of other improvements offered as standard features. The cast iron guide channel allows the rotation of round, hexagon or square bars at high RPMs with minimal noise and vibration. Diameter range changeover on this new series is even quicker than before with the addition of a new Quick-Change guide channel system. During the bar changing cycle, the Genius automatically retracts the bar remnant for easy off loading. The electronic clutch will allow for adjustment of feeding to a suitable value during the feeding cycle. IEMCA has included a standardized electrical interface on all bar feeders. Also, the new hand-held digital push-button pendant permits remote programming, allowing main operations to be done away from the bar feeder at the lathe.
