IEMCA Master 880MP - New Look, New Features... Same Great Dependability

ST. LOUIS, MO - The beauty of the new IEMCA Master 880MP single-spindle barfeeder goes much further than skin deep. In addition to the cosmetic changes and new sleek design, the Master 880MP offers a mono (single) plane staging rack that provides a more cost-efficient alternative to the bundle magazine and multi-layer rack versions of the Master 880 family. The MP model touts the industry's largest diameter capacity hydrodynamic guide channel system of any 12' barfeeder priced under $45,000. The Master 880MP is designed specifically for the finest performance in high production bar working. It utilizes a double pusher space saving configuration, a front bushing device to minimize vibration, and the reliability of a CNC control, making this one of the most versatile loaders in the IEMCA product line. In addition to the 12' standard version, a 10' unit is available, and the 14' bar length model will help to increase productivity even further.

The quick-change hydrodynamic guide channel system decreases the changeover time. This system is capable of running a wide range of bar diameters in one channel set, reducing the need for frequent guide channel changes. Also, the axial movement of the guide channel allows for clearance behind the lathe spindle for ease of spindle liner replacement. A closed-loop re-circulating oil system feeds oil into the guide channels, providing the ultimate in vibration dampening properties. A front guide bushing device between the feeder and the lathe is equipped with a Vulkollan bushing with a diameter that is similar in size to the bar being machined. The system is lubricated by a continuous oil flow and opened pneumatically allowing the pusher to pass through. This system stops bar vibration from passing into the lathe spindle and improves component machining accuracy. By changing just the bushing, the need to change channels, even outside the normal bar range is usually unnecessary. The barfeeder cycle and the lathe interface are controlled by a flexible and reliable CNC system, using an integrated PLC device and a new, easy to use, remote hand-held pendant designed by IEMCA. The CNC system provides menu-driven, step-by-step operational control for easy programming of the first-in-feed position; end-of-bar position and each part length feed out. In addition, the CNC system also controls the loading of shaped bars and the rear extraction or front ejection of bar remnants according to the operator's requirements. An AC servo motor and high-resolution encoder work in concert with a planetary gear drive system to ensure accurate feeding.

For all your fixed headstock part applications, this bar feeder will master the highest production requirements.
