Bamboo Solutions and Learning Tree International Sign Partnership Agreement

Companies branch out to meet the needs of new SharePoint users.

Reston, VA - October 31, 2006 -- Bamboo Solutions Corporation, a leading international technology company helping clients deliver portal applications built on Microsoft® SharePoint® technology, today announced its partnership with Learning Tree International, Inc (Learning Tree). An established hands-on training corporation with 32 years experience, Learning Tree has trained over 1.7 million professionals worldwide. The agreement is aimed at helping technology clients, specifically ones who are new to Microsoft SharePoint, further grasp the possibilities of using the highly flexible application.

Under the terms of the agreement, Learning Tree will be authorized to use SharePoint Web Parts developed by Bamboo Solutions in their curriculum. The fully functional, student-issued Web Parts will provide students the ability to install and evaluate their functionality, which is critical to the students' understanding of how to complement SharePoint out-of-the-box with Web Parts designed to tailor their organization's SharePoint portal.

SharePoint is the umbrella term referring to the combined collaboration features of Microsoft Windows SharePoint Services and Microsoft Office SharePoint Portal Server 2003. SharePoint users can easily create, manage, and build their own collaborative Web sites and make them available throughout the organization. Web Parts are a set of controls that can be deployed to SharePoint sites, enabling end users to further modify the content, appearance, and behavior of a Web site directly from a browser. These capabilities allow the end users, with the appropriate level of access, to personalize a Web application dynamically, without developer or administrator assistance.

Bamboo Solutions Web Parts will initially be made available to students enrolled in the "Microsoft SharePoint Technologies: A Comprehensive Introduction" course. This course is valuable for those managing, developing, or working in a collaborative environment who want to benefit from SharePoint technologies. A special discount on Web Part purchases will be made available to Learning Tree students who wish to buy Web Parts for their organization's use.

"As the usage of SharePoint increases, there is an accelerated demand for its training. It's much quicker for students to grasp the concept of how to build a better application using a combination of out-of-the-box and commercially available products," said Dux Raymond, course author and instructor, Learning Tree International.

"SharePoint is basically a platform built on web part architecture, so it's not only important for students to learn how to use web parts to customize their pages, but also how to build more comprehensive applications by connecting related Web Parts, such as the web parts developed by Bamboo to work together," said Janet Goda, Sharepoint Product Marketing Manager, Bamboo Solutions.

The recent openings of Bamboo offices in Europe and Asia-Pacific are a result of the growing adoption of SharePoint internationally. While offering local support via these new offices, Bamboo Solutions will also promote Learning Tree courses to its many international clients, who often request support not just for Web Part implementation, but also for expanding their internal use of SharePoint and which can be better addressed by the training services offered by Learning Tree.

"The Learning Tree and Bamboo partnership will help bridge the gap between the evolution of new technologies and their adoption by mainstream users. There is a need to provide not only superior products but also the guidance to use those products. This partnership takes a step in doing the right thing for our customers," said Martin Gustafson, Business Development Manager, Bamboo Solutions Corporation.
