BackVintage® Selects ComOps BMS for Their Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) Solution.


Established in 2003, BackVintage Wines Australia is one of the country's fastest growing Internet based, retail wineries - www.backvintage.com.au. The Company was founded by Julian Todd alongside some former Southcorp colleagues. BackVintage has created the only range of wine in Australia independently selected and endorsed by a Master of Wine - namely Nick Bulleid MW, Australia's 3rd Master of Wine and an Australian and International Wine Judge.

Whilst being a conventional winery, BackVintage however does not have a vineyard for
growing grapes. Instead they buy wine throughout Australia and NZ for blending, bottling and labeling under the BackVintage brand, to ensure they only produce premium wines.

Due to their rapid growth BackVintage has outgrown their existing accounting software
and required a complete solution to manage their business into the future. ComOps BMS (Business Management System) will allow BackVintage to manage their inventory and multiple retail locations with an integrated Distribution and Financial system encompassing Point-of-Sale (POS), WET (Wine Equalisation Tax) capabilities and a
Customer Relationship Management (CRM) module.

BackVintage will now be able to purchase and manage stock across multiple locations as
well as automating many of their other business processes. The CRM module will also
enable the sales team to record purchase history so that future marketing can be
customer specific, targeting their individual tastes through one-to-one email campaigns.
