Axial Piston Variable Motor suits low speed applications.

Press Release Summary:

Designed for pavers and crawler-type machines, such as loading tractors and bulldozers, Series 71 A6VM axial piston variable motor combines nominal pressure, specific displacement, and rotational speed characteristics that ensure smooth low running-speed operation over entire swivel angle range. Sealing points of threaded connections are designed to use seal rings, while cross-flow scavenging is optimized for when motor is used as high-performance drive.

Rexroth's New A6VM Variable Motor Improves Low Running-Speed Operation - ConExpo 2008

New series 71 of the Rexroth axial piston variable motor A6VM.

Rexroth's Series 71 A6VM axial piston variable motor improves low running-speed operation by combining higher nominal pressure, increased specific displacement, and faster rotational speed.

(Bethlehem, PA - www.boschrexroth-us.com) Bosch Rexroth's new Series 71 A6VM axial piston variable motor achieves a higher power density by increasing nominal pressure, rotational speed and specific displacement. The efficiency of the new nine-piston motor is noticeably improved, particularly with small swivel angles. The motor ensures smoother low running-speed operation at very low output speeds over the entire swivel angle range. The motor's starting behavior is also improved. Its ability to switch to the zero position also allows the addition of various drive functions, such as Rexroth traction control (ASC).

The sealing points of the threaded connections are designed to use seal rings. Rexroth also optimized the cross-flow scavenging for when the motor is used as a high-performance drive. The improved temperature behavior and reduced case pressure cuts down on wear and increases service life, even though the main case dimensions remain the same as the previous series. Speed and temperature sensors can also be connected.

The new motor is ideal for pavers and crawler-type machines, such as loading tractors and bulldozers. The A6VM improves driving and steering behavior with regard to precision and power usage for applications with high-feed requirements. These advantages also apply to winch drives and similar applications. Combined with the newly developed Rexroth Series 40 A4VG axial piston variable pump in closed-circuit operation, the A6VM motor is ideal for hydrostatic travel drives in mobile equipment.
