Original Press Release:

Replace Wood Frames With Rotex Automatic Tensioning Screen Frames to Raise Efficiency, Speed and Repeatability

CINCINNATI, OH (October 27, 2005) - Replacing wood screen frames with all-metal Automatic Tensioning Screen Frames from Rotex, Inc. improves efficiency, speed, repeatability and cleanliness.

Automatic Tensioning frames feature a patented design for attaching screen clothing to unitized frames with unique Quick-Snap spring tension clips. The clips permit quick removal and replacement of screen clothing and ensure constant, uniform tension across the entire screen surface for superior screening, reduced screen blinding and longer screen life.

With a one-piece design, the Automatic Tensioning screen frames are easy to assemble, clean and maintain, greatly simplifying maintenance, reducing downtime and eliminating the need for spare screen frames.

The screen frames and top covers are constructed of heavy duty 14 ga. mild steel, 304 stainless steel or .125" aluminum. The bottom pans are made of mild steel or 304 stainless steel. Special alloys also can be incorporated into the design and Rotex application engineers are available for advice about the best material to use for specific applications.

Automatic Tensioning frames feature a totally enclosed design with a continuous, one-piece seal and a grooved lip that holds the seal tightly against the frame. The wider, more compliant seal provides a tight seal between the surfaces and won't pull away from the frame during regular maintenance, providing improved sealing and longer seal life.

With the newly designed frame, a simple, one-time adjustment of the patented roller and bumper system ensures proper location of the screen frame - even after repeated screen frame changes. No sieve jacks or additional adjustments are required, and no tools are needed to remove or re-install the screen frame.

Rotex, Inc. engineers and manufactures a full line of screening equipment including ROTEX® Screeners and high capacity MEGATEXTM Screeners for particle size separation of grains, minerals, plastics and other dry solids; GRADEXTM Particle Size Analyzers; and LIQUATEX® Liquid/Solid Separators.
