Data I/O Introduces PSV5000 Automated Programming System

The PSV5000 automated programming system is the cost-effective entry point for high-quality Data I/O programming.  The PSV5000 delivers trusted performance, flexibility and reliability at an affordable price.

Redmond, WA – Data I/O Corporation (NASDAQ: DAIO), the leading global provider of advanced programming and IP management solutions for flash, flash-memory based intelligent devices and microcontrollers, today announced the release of the PSV5000 automated programming system. The PSV5000 is the newest automated programming solution in Data I/O’s award-winning PSV family.

“Programmable content for industrial controls, Internet of Things and consumer electronics applications is growing and becoming increasingly complex,” states Anthony Ambrose, President and CEO of Data I/O Corporation. “Manufacturers are under increasing pressure to meet quality, volume and cost requirements. With the cost of quality automation significantly reduced, the PSV5000 is an ideal fit for these applications by integrating Data I/O’s proven programming technology and robotics handling capability into a compact system delivering the lowest total cost of programming.”

Using Data I/O’s trusted FlashCORE III programming engine, the PSV5000 combines Data I/O’s programming technology with intelligent system integration. Unlike some competing handlers, the PSV5000 includes high quality pick and place technology and vision system for precise alignment and placement. Critical system components and control software proven in the award winning PSV7000 high performance system are used in the PSV5000. The PSV5000 also supports an integrated high quality, low cost fiber laser marking without the high consumable costs of competing systems.

The PSV5000 handler is rated for delivering up to 1300 parts per hour.  The PSV5000 supports all device types, including FPGAs, CPLDs, Microcontrollers and flash memories (including Serial Flash, eMMC, NAND and NOR devices) with tape and tray configurations with up to 6 programmers (24 individual sockets) in a compact footprint.   Existing Data I/O customers can leverage their installed base of FlashCORE III adapters, software, and algorithms with the PSV5000.  Data I/O Serial Number Server Software is also supported on the PSV5000. All Customers are supported by Data I/O’s global service and support network, with over 60 trained field service and support engineers worldwide.
