Audatex Delivers Real Steel Download to Canadian Market

Now over 350,000 recycled parts and reported savings of up to US $170 per part are at a user's fingertips.

SAN RAMON, Calif., Dec. 21 /- Audatex, a Solera Company, today announced that it is expanding Real Steel Download (RSDL), its recycled parts locating application, into Canada. RSDL currently enables insurance carriers and collision repair facilities throughout the United States to locate and insert recycled parts into Audatex estimates. RSDL is an integrated add-on application within the Audatex estimating systems and is a part of the comprehensive Audatex Estimating family of products and services. Users of RSDL can see an average savings of up to US $170 per part on recycled parts and assemblies inserted on their estimates. Other benefits include time savings in locating parts and improved part availability by accessing the largest recycled part database in North America.

RSDL is powered by Hollander, a Solera Company. Hollander is one of the most respected and recognized brands in the recycling industry and has helped auto recyclers manage their businesses and sell more parts for over 70 years. RSDL utilizes the Hollander EDEN part locating database, the industry's largest with over 120 million available parts from 3,000 auto recycler participants.

Audatex has introduced RSDL in the Greater Toronto area by making over 350,000 parts available for use in the estimating process. The rollout will continue regionally in Canada throughout 2007.

"When we set out to build RSDL for Canada, our goal was to provide our customers with an efficient workflow to access real parts with real prices from local suppliers," said John Kotsopoulos, Vice President and General Manager for Audatex Canada. "Shops can save about 30 minutes per day in telephone calls to recyclers and meet their DRP alternative parts utilization requirements more efficiently."

Tony Aquila, Founder, Chairman and CEO of Solera Inc., added, "Hollander provides Audatex with unique access and a capability to deliver a fully integrated workflow to carriers, collision repair facilities, and recyclers. We are applying the insights that Hollander provides to Audatex markets around the globe to continue to deliver increased value to our clients. The expertise that we have developed in Hollander provides an outstanding launching pad for further international recycled parts activities."
