At RSNA, DR Systems Will Exhibit New Unity v-Series Web PACS

RIS, CVIS, PACS and Reporting Offerings Are Modular, Virtualized, with Images and Results Available on Mobile Devices

SAN DIEGO -- DR Systems, one of the most respected names in healthcare information systems, will be exhibiting its new Unity v-Series Web PACS at RSNA 2010. v-Series includes RIS, CVIS, PACS and Reporting applications that are both modular and virtualized; and demonstrating viewing capabilities on mobile devices.

DR Systems will be exhibiting at Booth 3413 in the South Building, Hall A from Sunday, Nov. 28 to Thursday, Dec. 2. RSNA 2010 will be held Nov. 28 - Dec. 3 at McCormick Place in Chicago.

V-series offers:

o Standalone RIS, CVIS, PACS and Reporting modules. The feature rich
Unity platform is now offered as standalone modules able to interface
with other 3rd party HIS, RIS, PACS platforms.

o Vendor-neutral, unified worklist for workflow driven by a radiology
information system (RIS), cardiovascular information system (CVIS), or
PACS. Allows reading Physicians to access multiple disparate image
repositories from a single DR Systems Unity workstation utilizing a
single automated, unified worklist.

o v-Series RIS, CVIS, PACS and Reporting virtualization. Reduce the number
of dedicated application servers to lower hardware and operating costs,
and service interruptions. DR Systems' virtualization offerings utilize
award-winning technology from VMware (Palo Alto, Calif.)

o Digital archiving. v-Series customers can back-up their data without
investing in their own dedicated remote data centers, by contracting
with DR Systems to store their data.

o Image and Results viewing on mobile devices. Demonstration of v-Series
capability to view medical images and diagnostic results on iPad,
iPhone, and Android devices.

o Migration-free replacement PACS. v-Series technology allows
organizations to replace their legacy PACS while postponing data
migration from their aging system, by querying and retrieving data from
the legacy archive. Many healthcare organizations resisted replacing
their legacy PACS even though it no longer meets their needs, because of
the expense and inconvenience of migrating data from the legacy system
to a new PACS.

DR Systems developed v-Series to serve a changed landscape in healthcare IT. Many organizations now prefer to subscribe to medical software applications rather than purchase the applications outright. Subscribing to DR Systems' v-Series modular applications is a lower cost alternative to a conventional capital purchase.
