ISSI Announces 16Mb High Speed SRAM for Networking, Telecom and Automotive Applications
SANTA CLARA, Calif., Feb. 7 / -- Integrated Silicon Solution, Inc. (NASDAQ:ISSI), a leader in advanced memory solutions, today introduced the 2Mx8, 16Mb, high speed Asynchronous SRAM, the IS61WV20488, with access times as fast as 8nS. This new device gives the designer a high speed device that utilizes low power technology to minimize power consumption.
"The IS61WV20488 provides the designer a high density solution for x8 applications and easy implementation for wider bus applications requiring 2Meg deep memories," said Sanjiv Asthana, ISSI vice president of sales and marketing. "And because power consumption is only 95mA Max when operating at 10nS, the designer should be able to stay within the power budget."
The IS61WV20488 is the first in a broad range of 16Mb SRAMs that ISSI is developing including a variety of organizations, voltage and temperature ranges. It is targeted for networking, telecom and automotive applications requiring a high density, high speed, zero latency, fully random access memory. ISSI has the broadest offering in the industry of SRAMs organized as x8 with densities of 64K, 256K, 512K, 1M, 2M, 4M, 8M and now 16M.
The IS61WV20488A operates from 1.65V to 2.2V and the IS61WV20488B operates from 2.4V to 3.6V. Both are available in 44 pin TSOP II and 48 pin BGA packages. An automotive version, the IS64WV20488B, is also available. Price and Availability For quantities of 10,000, the IS61WV20488A/B, in a 44 pin TSOP II package with a 0 to 70 degree C operating range, is priced at $10.00. Samples are available now with volume production shipments beginning in Q2/2006.
