Aspectrics Extends Warranties on EP-NIR Analyzers to Reinforce Reduced Total Cost of Ownership

PLEASANTON, CA (July 31, 2007) -The outlook for Process Analytical Instruments (PAI) is estimated to reach $6 billion by 2010. Aspectrics, Inc., the innovator of patented Encoded Photometric Infrared (EP-NIR) and Near Infrared (EP-NIR) spectroscopy believes that this growth will not be fuelled solely by new emerging technologies. This is because purchasers have been reluctant to adopt these new technologies and seek justification for new instrument purchases based on economic factors. Improved yields, higher product security, higher throughput and lower cost of ownership are important for customers when purchasing new instruments. Having achieved exceptional Reliability Data from its customers, Aspectrics has extended the warranties on its award winning EP-NIR and EP-IR instrumentation and accessories to enhance total cost of ownership.

Thanks to its enhanced product performance, Aspectrics has extended its one year warranty on its EP-NIR and EP-IR spectrometers to three years for parts and labor as well as adding a new ten year parts and labor warranty on the encoder disk motor. In addition, the warranties now include all parts and labor for repair at the Pleasanton facility. Maintenance cost is key to the lifetime expense of the instrument so by increasing this warranty period, Aspectrics is able to reduce the lifetime cost of the instrument, and in turn the expense to the customer.

Commenting on these extended warranties, Jim Yano, VP of Marketing, Aspectrics comments, "Aspectrics is confident that the long term value of its EP-IR and EP-NIR analyzers means that customers can invest now for long term returns. Our customer reliability data gives Aspectrics the confidence to guarantee the longer performance of the instruments and its accessories thus reducing Total Cost of Ownership."

Aspectrics' analyzers offer a more efficient alternative to traditional NIR systems, with a spectral range extending further than the common 2100nm and achieving a range of 1375-2750nm. The patented Encoder Disk technology provides an ultra fast sampling capability of 100 scans/second resulting in multi component analysis. Achieving this ultra fast scan rate and with an extended warranty of ten years on the motor, Aspectrics offers 30 billion scans over the life of the instrument or 10 years of life, whichever comes first!
