ASC to Demonstrate SPI and AOI Solutions at the IPC APEX EXPO

VisionPro AP500, AV862 AOI and SAKI AOI systems in in Booth #2801 at the upcoming IPC APEX EXPO, scheduled to take place February 19-21, 2013 at the San Diego Convention Center in California.
The VisionPro AP500 SPI system incorporates the most advanced, rapid 3-D inspection technology within a stylish vibration-free, fully automated platform. Designed with feature-rich software including onboard real-time SPC run charts, customized data reports and simple-to-use GerberProTM conversion programming software make the VisionPro AP500 the most desired offline SPI solution around the globe.
Also on display, the AV862 AOI series provides manufacturers with a solid AOI platform to validate the overall variables associated with component placement. Absence/presence, polarity, OCR, solder inspection and lead quality all can be detected with low false call rates. System features include real-time SPC charts, OCR recognition and CAD import programming. The system itself boasts 2.4 GHz PC and LCD monitor along with optional bar code reader and rework station.
Representatives will give demonstrations of the SAKI BF-Comet-c, SAKI’s newest addition to its family of benchtop AOI products. This entry-level system offers the same innovative line scanning technology found in other SAKI systems and can capture a full image of a medium-size (250 x 330 mm/10 x 13") assembly in less than 14 seconds. The BF-Comet-c’s 18 µm resolution enables inspection of components as small as 0201 (0603) for solder fillet integrity, presence/absence, polarity, misalignment/skew, lifted lead and tombstone defects.
