Appleton Mfg. Division Introduces New Programmable Core Cutter
(Neenah, WI): Appleton Mfg. Division is announcing the general availability of the new P520 Programmable Core Cutter. It has undergone extensive field testing and is now ready for full production. The P520 is offered as a high speed option in our P5 line of Advanced Programmable Core Cutters. Using a new carriage design combined with strengthened movement linkage, the P520 delivers a higher set of operating parameters for cutting speed, core loading speed and cut length accuracy.
The P520 includes the following enhancements over prior P5 series cutters:
Up to 2x the cutting speed of the P510 and P500
Loads cores up to 2x as fast as the P510 and P500
Increased cut length accuracy
It shares several features with the P510:
Free-standing controls with Allen-Bradley PanelView™ touch screen display
Servo actuated ball-screw drive advancement
Air-assisted knife
The P520 Programmable Core Cutter also integrates with Appleton Mfg. Division’s Automated Core Cutting Systems. The full range of automated core loading, cut core and parent core handling are available.
