New Heavy Duty Rockers from ITT Industries, Electronic Components Suit Off-Road applications

LAS VEGAS - IFPE Booth #S15514, March 15, 2005 - New AR4 and AR5 series Analog Rocker switches from ITT Industries feature a contactless sensing design which gives an accurate, proportional output well-suited to Off-Road machinery. With a life of more than one million cycles (≥1.5M cycles for the AR4), these devices deliver the reliability required for applications used in demanding environmental conditions as experienced by heavy duty applications.

Targeted at panels, multifunction grips and finger-tip controls of electro-hydraulic devices in electronic control systems, the AR4 is equipped with a thumbwheel-style actuator, while the AR5 features a paddle. Both devices include integrated protection circuitry and temperature compensation. Actuators can be customized for both the AR4 and the AR5 depending on ergonomic requirements.

AR4 and AR5 Analog Rockers switches meet rigorous EMC and mechanical vibration standards. They have also been tested to withstand salt spray and chemical splash (SAE J1455 4.3.3) tests. The AR4 is protected to IP67; AR5 meets IP65 requirements.

Prices range from $25-$50 depending on volumes and the configuration, with lead times dependent on the specifics of the design and configuration.
