Analog Input Board has 25 channels with 24-bit resolution.

Press Release Summary:

Model DNA-AI-225 offers max sampling rate of 1 kS/sec per channel for total of 25 kS/sec for board. Separate A/D converter for each channel eliminates noise, offsets multiplexed input errors and allows simultaneous sampling. Using DNA-AI-225, up to 150 analog input channels fit in a single Ethernet-based I/O Cube measuring 4.0 x 4 x 5.8 in. Unit includes QNX drivers, software drivers for Windows applications, and drivers for most real time operating systems.

25-Channel, 24-bit Analog Input Board for UEI's PowerDNA Cube

Canton, MA (October 17, 2006) - United Electronic Industries (UEI) announces the release of the DNA-AI-225 analog input board. The new board features 25 differential input channels with 24-bit resolution and a maximum sampling rate of 1 kS/s per channel (25 kS/s aggregate for the board). The AI-225 has a separate A/D converter for each channel. This configuration eliminates the noise, and offset errors associated with multiplexed inputs and at the same time allows all 25 channels to be sampled simultaneously.

Using the DNA-AI-225, up to 150 analog input channels fit in a single 4.0" by 4" by 5.8", Ethernet-based I/O Cube. The board includes software drivers for all popular Windows programming languages and applications including LabVIEW and MATLAB. Drivers are also included for Linux, RTX, Linux RT and most other real-time operating systems. QNX drivers are also available.

"The PowerDNA Cube has been very popular in a wide variety of applications" according to UEI President Shaun Miller, "The addition of this high density, high accuracy analog input board allows the PowerDNA cube to address many new low-level measurements including providing an ideal measurement platform for thermocouples and strain gages."

About the PowerDNA Cube
PowerDNA (Distributed Networked Automation)-is a compact (4 x 4 x 4" or 4 x 4 x 5.8") Ethernet based data acquisition and control device. Each PowerDNA Cube consists of a core module (that holds the processor and network interface) along with three or six open I/O slots or layers. Users configure their system by selecting appropriate I/O boards from UEI's extensive offering of analog input (with resolutions of 16, 18 or 24 bits, inputs to 100V or 0-20 mA), analog output (to 40V), digital input/output, counter/timer, CAN bus interface, multi-port RS-485 and RS-232, and power conversion.
