ANADIGICS Ships Power Amplifiers for New Mobile Phones from World's Leading Handset OEM

ANADIGICS Shipping Production Volumes of Dual-Band CDMA Power Amplifiers for New CDMA Handset Recently Introduced by the Top CDMA Wireless Service Provider in the United States
WARREN, N.J., Sept. 7 / -- ANADIGICS, Inc. (NASDAQ:ANAD), a leading supplier of wireless and broadband solutions, today announced that the Company is shipping production volumes of power amplifiers (PAs) for new handset models from the world's largest handset OEM. ANADIGICS' ultra-compact AWT6314 dual-band CDMA PA enables a new handset from this tier-one OEM. The 6215i is a lightweight clamshell handset featuring two color displays, camera with flash, and speakerphone. ANADIGICS' small footprint dual-band CDMA PAs reduce external components and achieve a 25% space savings compared with solutions requiring two single-band PAs, to help handset manufacturers design ultra-thin sleek devices.

The AWT6314 dual-band CDMA PA features 39% efficiency and 50 mA of quiescent current to provide excellent talk-time. The compact 3 mm by 5 mm dual-band CDMA PAs offer a common VMODE line to simplify the control interface and support single-mode operation up to full antenna power. ANADIGICS' dual-band CDMA power amplifiers are manufactured using a material set consistent with the European Union's Restriction of Hazardous Substances (RoHS).
