Allot Announces First Commercial Deployment of New Service Gateway Platform at Major DSL-Based ISP

Industry's first open architecture DPI platform for broadband service control and optimization with throughput of over 20 Gbps

Minneapolis, Minn. - October 31, 2007 - Allot Communications Ltd. (NASDAQ: ALLT), a leader in IP service optimization solutions based on deep packet inspection (DPI), today announced the first commercial deployment of the Allot Service Gateway, Omega Series (SG-Omega). The Service Gateway provides a platform for broadband providers to build secure, manageable and profitable intelligent networks, optimized to deliver Internet-based content and services.

The Service Gateway has recently been deployed at a major DSL Internet service provider in the Asia Pacific region. The Service Gateway is operating on 10 Gigabit Ethernet lines, intelligently managing high-volume Internet Protocol (IP) flows on its core network. The Service Gateway is also undergoing evaluations at additional carriers.

"Deep packet inspection has a vital role to play in next-generation broadband networks," said Rami Hadar, Allot CEO and President. "We believe that the Allot Service Gateway will pave a new direction for DPI. It is a carrier-grade solution that overcomes the barriers of performance, reliability, application awareness and subscriber awareness that have made it difficult for service providers to control capital and operating costs, and manage the torrent of Internet content and applications traversing their networks."

The SG-Omega leverages Layer-7 DPI technology in a carrier-grade platform to help broadband carriers and service providers keep costs down while ensuring a quality user experience and supports throughput of over 20 Gigabits per second on a single platform. The platform can be configured with up to four 10-Gigabit Ethernet interfaces that support two 10-Gigabit Ethernet lines and can process up to 20 million concurrent IP flows.

The Service Gateway is based on an AdvancedTCA chassis for deployment in service provider networks. Its resilient hardware and software architecture ensures platform stability and availability through hot-swappable blades, efficient N+1 redundancy within the chassis, and internal hardware and software bypass mechanisms that protect against failures.

"With this commercial deployment, Allot has passed a major milestone on its Service Gateway Roadmap," said Hadar.
