DocuSys Launches DocuPrompte(TM) Product Suite with an Exclusive Partnership with Prompte(TM)

Prompte's HealthQuestionnaire(TM) and PreOpPlanner(TM) Integrate with the DocuSys Anesthesia Information System

MOBILE, Ala., Oct. 11 // -- DocuSys, Inc., a leading provider of Anesthesia Information Systems (AIS) and Digital Drug Management Systems, today announced the signing of an exclusive original equipment manufacturer (OEM) agreement with Prompte LLC to integrate and sell Prompte's HealthQuestionnaire(TM) and PreOpPlanner(TM) solutions with the DocuSys AIS.

The new DocuPrompte(TM) product suite will include HealthQuestionnaire as the first electronic, patient-driven, web-based, preoperative health history solution to integrate with an AIS. PreOpPlanner, an algorithmic program, generates patient- and procedure-specific recommendations and content driven by the patient's verified responses to HealthQuestionnaire and the patient's planned procedure.

DocuPrompte will bring safety, accountability, cost savings and an unparalleled level of efficiency to the pre-operative screening process. Employing HealthQuestionnaire on the front-end will enable patients to complete a web-based, self-service, electronic, pre-operative questionnaire at home via a secure web site, at their surgeon's office or at the hospital.

Designed for touchscreen kiosks or standard web browsers, HealthQuestionnaire is also translated into multiple languages. PreOpPlanner algorithms driven by verified HealthQuestionnaire responses automatically generate patient-, condition-, and procedure-specific deliverables including preoperative instructions, testing requirements, clearance algorithms, a pre- populated history and physical (H&P) and institution-specific protocols.

By using DocuPrompte, patients, clinicians and hospital leaders will benefit greatly from an automated, standardized and integrated preoperative process. Communications among nurses, physicians and patients will be improved, language barriers will be reduced, and the same patient information will be automatically shared among the patients' care-team.

"Healthcare providers today demand innovative software solutions that improve the ability to make informed decisions, deliver quality care and impact the bottom line," said Robert Hanson, president/CEO and co-founder of DocuSys. "We believe that integrating Prompte's solutions into our AIS framework will raise the bar in preoperative medicine. The Prompte joint venture allows DocuSys to continue its business model of pioneering digital healthcare solutions that make a difference."

Of the partnership, Mark Schaub, CEO of Prompte, said, "We are very excited about the DocuSys alliance. Forging a partnership with the leader in anesthesia information and digital drug management systems is very strategic for our company. The OEM agreement will expand our channel and distribution capabilities and will enable us to reach new healthcare customers. In addition, working with DocuSys will allow us to be an instrumental part of the integrated anesthesia product of the future."

About DocuSys

DocuSys is the first company to provide comprehensive digitization of anesthesia by merging two of the most critical components of patient care - drug delivery and clinical information - maximizing both the quality of care and return on investment in surgery. The system incorporates customizable decision support, professional fee capture, comorbid condition documentation and an intravenous drug monitor, DocuJect®, which uses bar-coding and digital imaging to automate documentation, tracking and billing of drugs. DocuSys' modular design permits integration with existing hospital information systems, electronic drug dispensing cabinets, infusion pumps, physiologic monitors and other systems in those settings where intravenous drug delivery is key.
