Air Plasma Cutting System cuts metal up to 1 1/2 in. thick.

Press Release Summary:

Rated at 100 A, inverter-based CUTMASTER(TM) 151 operates on single-phase or 3-phase input power. It includes ATC(TM) quick disconnect, automatic Tip Saver(TM) circuitry, and 1Torch(TM) plasma torch, which eliminates high frequency starting and provides dross-free cuts. Arc remains constant, even on expanded metal or grating and is strong enough to cut directly through paint and rust. Wraparound roll bar provides protection. System is IP-23C, CSA/NTRL/C, CE, and CCC certified.

1Series(TM) Air Plasma System Family Expanded With New CUTMASTER(TM) 151

St. Louis - May 23, 2005 - Thermal Dynamics® is proud to introduce the new CUTMASTER(TM) 151 air plasma cutting and gouging system to its CUTMASTER 1Series(TM) air plasma cutting systems family.

The CUTMASTER 151 is a robust 100-amp system designed to deliver precision cutting and industry leading speed on a wide range of metal up to 1-1/2 inches (38mm) thick. The CUTMASTER is designed to handle the heaviest fabrication, maintenance and manufacturing environments that deal with thick plate like scrap yards, mining and ship yards. "One of the outstanding strengths of this design is its ability to deliver top cutting performance at both ends of the cutting range, both gauge metal drag cutting and heavy plate cutting at full power," stated Mike Linehan, Thermal Dynamics Category Manager.

The inverter-based system utilizes proven CUTMASTER technology and operates on either single-phase or three-phase input power for maximum energy efficiency and low cost operation. In fact, the CUTMASTER 151 is the only 100-amp cutting unit on the market cutting on 230 volt 1 phase power.

"Our engineers responded to the thousands of customers in many industries who need 100 amps of cutting power where there is no electrical service," Linehan said. "Now, those users won't have to compromise their safety or valuable time and will be able to use CUTMASTER 151 instead of bringing in new electrical service."

Standard components of the CUTMASTER 151 include the revolutionary 1Torch(TM) plasma torch and patent pending ATC(TM) (Advanced Torch Connector) quick disconnect for fast process changes. "This torch is the most comfortable to hold in the industry, has excellent front end parts visibility and provides clean, dross free cuts," stated Linehan. "Cutting, piercing and trimming are fast and easy with no damage to the front end parts. 1Torch technology eliminates high frequency starting and automatic Tip Saver(TM) circuitry supports better parts life. The arc remains constant even on expanded metal or grating and is strong enough to cut directly through paint and rust. The finished piece is virtually weld-ready, saving time and money."

The CUTMASTER 151 system is tough, reliable and built to stand up to rugged environments. A wraparound roll bar provides excellent protection during transport and while on the job. The system is IP-23C, CSA/NTRL/C, CE and CCC certified. It is backed by a three-year parts and labor power supply warranty and a one-year parts and labor torch warranty.
