Air Heating Burner handles temperatures to 2,500°F.

Press Release Summary:

RatioAir velocity burner has integral packaged blower that is available in 4 different models with capacities from 1-5 mm BTU/hr. Ratio regulator automatically compensates for changes in operating conditions and ensures ratio-controlled operation over turndown range of more than 50:1. Direct drive air butterfly eliminates linkages, and burner achieves gas velocities of up to 500 ft/sec. It suits applications that require use of unusual fuels and confined firing chambers.

Eclipse Rolls Out New Air Heating Burner

Eclipse Inc, a Rockford, Illinois based manufacturer of combustion equipment and systems for process heating industries worldwide, has added a new model to its line of air heating burners.

The new RatioAir is a velocity burner with an integral packaged blower that is available in four different models, with capacities ranging from 1 MM to 5 MM BTU/hr. Eclipse offers a choice of standard-, medium- and high-velocity combustion tubes and block and holder options. These options enable RatioAir burners to produce an intense steam of hot gases that:

1. Deliver precise temperature uniformity for consistent product quality and system efficiency.
2. Thoroughly penetrate the load.

In addition, the unit's ratio regulator automatically compensates for changes in operating conditions and ensures ratio-controlled operation over a turndown range of more than 50:1. A direct drive air butterfly eliminates linkages that can slip or jam during operation.

The burners can achieve gas velocities of up to 500 ft./second and are a wide choice for applications that require chamber temperatures up to 2,500 degrees F. The RatioAir also is suited for applications that require:

1. High excess air and ratio control.
2. Use of unusual fuels (such as low-Btu fuels).
3. Confined firing chambers.

In addition to low-Btu fuels, standard nozzles on the RatioAir burners can burn butane, natural gas or propane. They have been applied successfully to glass lehrs, indirect-fired air heaters, RTO incinerators, afterburners, tempering furnaces and water bath vaporizers. The nozzles are available with right- or left-hand piping or NPT or BSP inlet pipe threads.
