New Flame & Fungus Protection For WrapAround Air Filters For Medical Electronics


WrapAround Air Filters for medical electronics enclosure applications now incorporate the latest flame resistant coatings and anti-microbial additives.

Universal Air Filter Co. has enlisted powerful "next generation" flame resistant coatings for Quadrafoam filter media used to construct its WrapAround Air Filters for medical electronics. Additionally, new anti-microbial additives with a fungus growth rating of zero are also being utilized.

WrapAround Air Filters' innovative "frame n' pane" design allows filter media to be configured with extended surface area for minimal airflow resistance. The "frame-n-pane" design integrates an aluminum or stainless steel frame and a series of crossing, reinforcing intermediates that provide media support. Pane sizes and frame thicknesses can be customized to meet the designer's needs.

Frames are available with special finishes that protect against corrosion and provide EMI/RFI shielding benefits.

Universal Air Filter products meet the following standards and classifications: MIS 20189E; UL 94 HF-1; UL 900 Class 2, CE; Telcordia NEBS GR-78-CORE and GR-63-CORE; and FMVSS 302. Prototypes are routinely produced and sent to customers within five working days.
