Morgan Advanced Ceramics Introduces New Line of E/M® Air-Dry Lubricants for MRO Applications

Solid-film lubricants exhibit enhanced performance, offering field application flexibility

Morgan Advanced Ceramics (MAC), a world-leading supplier of innovative ceramic solutions for the medical, telecommunications, semiconductor and aerospace markets, launches its new line of E/M® Air-Dry Solid Film Lubricants, ideal for a variety of MRO applications. This new product line features a more functional resin system than traditional air-dry lubricants, while also providing the flexibility to be used where thermally-cured products cannot. These products offer a wide variety of performance enhancements over traditional air-dry lubricants, including lower coefficient of friction, greater thermal stability, improved release and superior corrosion resistance.

Utilizing MAC's expertise in the development and application of Molybdenum Disulfide, PTFE and/or Graphite based solid film lubricant resin technologies, Air-Dry Lubricants exhibit similar properties approaching those of thermally-cured lubricants, while providing the flexibility to be field-applied to a wide variety of substrates. Aerosol Air-Dry Lubricants are ready to use, without the need to add a solvent, making them ideal for use as a supplemental, touch-up to MAC's thermally-cured products.

The new line of Air-Dry Solid Film Lubricants is manufactured at MAC's E/M facility in Atlanta, GA, which is certified to ISO 9001 and AS 9000 for research and development and the manufacture of their coatings. Available in quart gallons, five-gallon pails and 12-ounce aerosol cans, these Air-Dry Lubricants are stocked and available for convenient next day shipment, saving customers both time and money.

Many of the Air-Dry Solid Film Lubricants are qualified to military and OEM specifications, such as MIL-PRF-46147C and MIL-L-23398. Additional technical data sheets, material safety data, processing information and request for quotes for these products are available on MAC's E/M website at http://em-coatings.com/products.
