New Optional Dispensing Arm, Automatic Stand and Pre-Tear Unit Put Air Cushions Where Needed
Redwood City, CA...June 15, 2004...The newest accessories for the NOVUS® C air cushion system will be introduced at EASTPACK 2004. The optional accessories save valuable warehouse floor space and make air cushion handling easier.
A new, automated Machine Stand, that raises and lowers for film loading, and a Dispensing Arm attached directly to the NOVUS C machine provide a completely automated setup. Air cushions are moved from the machine over a conveyor belt directly above cartons at a pack station. An optional Pre-Tear Unit makes tearing a string of air cushions easier and quicker for the packer.
The hard-working NOVUS C machine is fast, producing 70 lineal feet of air cushions per minute. Using unique, pre-configured films, the machine makes four different cushion shapes that can be used for void fill, to wrap corners and to replace traditional bubble material. It's no longer necessary to transport, store and handle traditional rolls of bubble material. Simply plug in the 110 volt NOVUS C machine, insert the film and make air cushions on demand, as needed.
FP International also will demonstrate its CELL-O® air cushion packaging system, featuring the extremely fast CELL-O EZ II machine that uses five convenient sizes of fim, producing small air cushions at 49 lineal feet per minute and large cushions at 32 lineal feet per minute. Also exhibited at EASTPACK will be the FASTTrack® paper packaging systems, FLO-PAK® loosefill products and CUSHION-AIR® bubble mailers.
