Dometic Introduces Deck-Mounted Marine AC for Jack-Up Vessels
New Package Units Are Designed for Long Life and High Performance in Marine Environment
POMPANO BEACH, Fla. - December 6, 2006 - Dometic Environmental Corporation has introduced a new 14,000 BTU air-cooled marine air conditioning unit designed specifically for jack-up boats and barges.
The new SSA14K is a self-contained package unit that includes the compressor, condenser, evaporator, blower and other mechanical and electrical components on a single compact chassis. It is bolted directly to the deck. The built-in return-air and discharge-air plenums cool the compartment directly below without duct runs. A simplified digital thermostat/display unit is included. Multiple units can be installed on deck as needed.
The units have been designed and built specifically for the salt-air marine environment. The chassis and enclosure are stainless steel. The condenser and other components are Heresite coated for additional corrosion protection.
