Aegis Assessments' RadioBridge(TM) Available to First Responders

SCOTTSDALE, Ariz., March 17 -- Aegis Assessments, Inc. (BULLETIN BOARD: AGSI) , a wireless technology company that provides products that improve emergency communications for homeland security, public safety and commercial applications, today announced that product information about its SafetyNet(TM) RadioBridge(TM) will be released through the Department of Homeland Security's Interoperable Communications Technical Assistance Program (ICTAP) to the Urban Areas ICTAP supports. The intention of this effort is to better inform those public safety users of available products that may support their needs for radio interoperability solutions. The Aegis RadioBridge(TM) is a portable wireless device that interconnects incompatible radios and bridges them to provide radio interoperability at an emergency site.
ICTAP provides free technical assistance to enhance interoperable communications between local, state, and federal emergency responders and public safety officials to cities and states that have received grants from the Department of Homeland Security, Office for Domestic Preparedness. ICTAP is a technical assistance program associated with the Department of Homeland Security's Urban Areas Security Initiative (UASI) grant program. The goal of the ICTAP program is to enable local public safety agencies to communicate as they prevent or respond to a Weapons of Mass Destruction (WMD) attack. ICTAP also leverages and works with other federal, state, and local interoperability efforts whenever possible to enhance the overall capacity for agencies and individuals to communicate with one another.
The RadioBridge(TM) is also included on the Responder Knowledge Base, a national information resource for emergency responders sponsored by the Oklahoma City National Memorial Institute for the Prevention of Terrorism hosted on the Department of Homeland Security's website. This project is designed to provide emergency responders with a trusted, integrated, online source for information on equipment and related items such as training, standards and grants.
