Advector Systems Keeps You Cool This Summer

GRAPEVINE, Texas, July 7, 2011 - With record heat predicted for the summer months, have you considered how you will keep cool and not break the bank? Advector Systems just might have the answer.

And running the HVAC system can be expensive. According to Energy Star, up to 50% of the energy used in your home goes to heating and cooling. This can result in costs that average $1,100 per year with a higher percentage of these HVAC related costs attributed to the summer months in warm climates.
While there is no way to keep your home cool and comfortable without running the HVAC system, there may be a way to reduce HVAC run time by directing conditioned air to where it is needed most.
"Consider how your HVAC system works," said Boris Medic, Managing Director at Advector Systems, "it cools the entire home, including the rooms that are not being occupied. This results in unbalanced temperatures, extended HAVC run cycles and increased energy bills."
Advector System has designed a new solution that uses 360 degree airflow patterns to more evenly distribute the conditioned air and give home owners the ability to manually balance the amount of air entering each room. The inVENT manually adjustable damper can be installed in new construction projects or as a replacement to existing vents. Installations can be done simply, with little more than a screwdriver, and at a cost of about $20 per vent.

"By restricting the flow of conditioned air to specific areas they can achieve more comfortable temperatures and reduced system run time...resulting in lower energy bills."
