Advanced American Telephones Announces 2009 AT&T DECT 6.0 Cordless Phones Featuring Technologies to Deliver Unsurpassed Range

New AT&T Offerings Include Four-Line System Ideal for Small-to-Medium Business Use in Multi-Story Buildings or Warehouses

BEAVERTON, Ore., Jan. 6 -- Advanced American Telephones, which manufactures AT&T-branded telephones under a license agreement with AT&T Intellectual Property, today announced the 2009 line of AT&T Digitally Enhanced Cordless Telecommunications (DECT) 6.0 phones for the home and small-to-medium businesses. The new line includes the SB67118, a unique four- line corded/cordless system that offers talk range up to 900 meters as well as push-to-talk (PTT) capability for instant communication between users in larger facilities.

In addition, the 2009 AT&T line includes new home phone systems with the value, flexibility and rich quality for which AT&T phones are known. Consumers looking for reliable, eye-catching, high-performance phones can select from the latest AT&T DECT systems, featuring up to 45 percent better range than other phones on the market today. The 2009 AT&T product line will be on display at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas, January 8-11, at the Palms Tower.

Communication Solutions for Small Office/Home Office and SMB Users

The new SB67118 four-line corded/cordless system expands the growing line of AT&T office communication solutions, which also include cordless headsets. The system offers expandability up to 10 handsets and other technologies that help employees communicate clearly and faster in environments such as multi-story buildings, garages and warehouses.

The SB67118 features DECT 6.0 zero blind-spot technology, which allows the system to strengthen the radio signal in areas that normally have a weak signal to base unit. It is the only product of its kind to offer repeaters that can extend range for calls up to an unprecedented 900 meters. In addition, the SB67118 enables 10 handsets to be in use simultaneously, while standard DECT systems allow only five. This system is equipped with other time-saving features such as PTT to communicate with any or all extensions, three-party conferencing, auto-attendant voicemail and a dial-in base speakerphone for hands-free conversations.

"This new phone system provides a unique office solution that enables true mobility and range for versatile communication," said Matt Ramage, senior vice president, product management, Advanced American Telephones. "No other product on the market offers this combination of high-end features and the freedom to take care of business without having to stay tethered to desk."

Taking DECT Technology to the Next Level - Solutions for the Home

The 2009 family of AT&T DECT 6.0 phones also includes two new models for the home. The CL84109 is a corded/cordless digital answering system, featuring a Clearspeak(TM) dial-in-base speakerphone, allowing users the highest level of speakerphone sound quality within the AT&T line. This value-added system provides the convenience and security of a corded set, along with the flexibility of a cordless handset (included). It also is expandable with up to 12 handsets using a single phone jack, and up to five handsets can be active simultaneously during a call. This model includes exclusive range technology that allows users to take conversations up to 45 percent farther away from the base than other phones.

In addition, the new AT&T CL82209 features a sleek new design and is expandable up to 12 handsets requiring only one phone jack. Other key features include intercom between handsets, handset speakerphones, selectable ring tones and up to 14 minutes of digital recording time.

These new AT&T phones can be purchased at major retail outlets and online at www.telephones.att.com/ by summer 2009.
