Heat Sealable Adhesive Film for Assembly of Diagnostic Devices
Windsor, Connecticut - July 27, 2004....Scapa Medical offers Bioflex® Rx630P, a single coated, heat sealable adhesive film that is ideal for the assembly of diagnostic test strips and micro-fluid devices. This high tack, low ooze product adheres well to a variety of substrates and performs well in applications that require heat bonding.
Bioflex Rx630P consists of a 7 mil clear polyester film coated on one side with 2.75 mils of a thermoplastic urethane heat seal adhesive. The film is supplied on a 1.5 mil polyester release liner. The film's thick polyester carrier makes it dimensionally stable. Capable of reactivation, the thermoplastic adhesive has no tack and can be used on parts that will be stacked during assembly. The material's low bonding temperature facilitates its use on temperature sensitive substrates.
