Scapa North America has introduced Scapa 706, a clear polyimide film, double coated with a silicone pressure sensitive adhesive for general industrial bonding, sealing, and splicing applications. The product is specifically designed to bond silicone substrates and other difficult-to-bond materials.

Scapa 706 delivers excellent adhesion to silicone-coated substrates including paper and film. The high tack silicone adhesive is ideal for bonding silicone foams and gaskets. Scapa 706 can serve as a splicing tape to join silicone-coated papers or films, and is also ideal for high or low temperature gasket sealing. This highly conformable product can also be used for precision die cutting, forming to intricate parts, and general purpose bonding.

Scapa 706 features a specially treated polyester release film that allows for easy unwind. The product is resistant to a wide range of chemicals, and offers an operating temperature range of -55°F to +400°F.
