East Providence, RI USA -- The 1500XL dispensing system uses microprocessor circuitry and specialized components to apply UV-cure adhesives in accurate, consistent amounts. By ensuring the correct amount of adhesive is applied every time, the 1500XL increases yields, improves bond reliability, and reduces adhesive consumption as much as 50% in bench top assembly processes.
Using a microprocessor-based timer and precision air regulator to control the amount of UV-cure adhesive applied results in exact deposits, uniform bonds and more predictable cure times. It also reduces rework and rejects by preventing workers from using too much or too little adhesive.
The 1500XL features a handy "Teach" function that makes it easy to determine the correct amount of adhesive to use for any UV dispensing application. Deposit size can also be set with the digital timer and fine-tuned in 0.1, 0.01, or 0.001 second increments.
Setup and operation of the 1500XL dispenser is simple and efficient. Adhesive is loaded into a disposable syringe reservoir that blocks UV wavelengths from 280-390 nm while allowing the user to monitor the adhesive level. (Opaque black barrels are available for light-sensitive fluids.) The syringe is then connected to the dispenser console, and the size of the first deposit is set using either the Teach function or timer. To apply the pre-set amount of adhesive, the user just holds the syringe like a pen, places the dispense tip in position, and presses an electric foot pedal.
