System Integrators Benefit with Open Interface Library
HBM has enhanced its catman® ActiveX server with a dynamic link library (DLL) allowing system integrators to use the data acquisition functions separately from the catman® Professional software package. The catman® ActiveX library aims to make the complete test measurement process less complex.
The catman® ActiveX library helps system integrators to easily configure amplifiers. System integrators can define, realize and automate measurement runs while measured values can be taken in real time or on completion if, for example, a measurement log is required.
Flexibility has been improved with various options for evaluating data and developing customized applications. They can continue using familiar programming software tools such as Visual Basic®, Visual C++®, Delphi(TM), and LabView(TM).
They can also use catman® high-level functions to facilitate communication with HBM amplifiers.
The library is subdivided into the following functions:
Data acquisition and device configuration
Data evaluation and mathematics
Data management and file manager
Programmers that use LabView(TM) and HBM's MGCplus amplifier gain the most since they no longer need the previous driver that required a detailed knowledge of the MGCplus system
