Acheson Introduces New Dag® 6039 Dispersion for Anti-Static Applications

PORT HURON, Mich., Sept. 14, 2006 - Acheson (www.achesonindustries.com) has introduced its new Dag® 6039 waterborne carbon dispersion, which is designed for compatibility with a variety of water-based resin systems and for formulating custom-made anti-static coatings and impregnants. Composed of a dispersion of very fine carbon particles in water, Dag 6039 waterborne carbon dispersion has applications in the hydrogen fuel cell, power cable, optical fiber and technical fabric industries. The product works as an impregnant in gas diffusion membranes and as an anti-static impregnant for polyester and glass fiber fabric and polyurethane foam. It also provides an anti-static coating for sandpaper and sanding belts. Dag 6039 waterborne carbon dispersion is an environmentally friendly, low-VOC, waterborne coating and is compatible with a wide variety of water-based resins, enabling formulations with customized electrical conductive properties. The product provides optimal conductive performance with an economical amount of dispersion. In addition, the coating adheres to flexible or rigid plastics and can be used on a variety of parts and substrates, allowing design flexibility, as well as cost savings in materials and inventory.
