Original Press Release:

Advanced Valve Technology for the Acetylene Industry

New double 0-ring design provides easy operating handwheel, superior leak integrity and lower overall operating cost!

Branchburg, NJ - The Cavagna Group has been serving the global compressed gas marketplace since 1931. Ongoing product development has produced a significant enhancement to the long time acetylene cylinder packages used by numerous trades throughout the US and Canada.

Cavagna's new handwheel operated "B" and "MC" acetylene valves have been engineered with a proven double 0-ring stem design and soft seat, both which have been used in their commercial and POL acetylene valves for over a quarter of a century. This new valve, with its forged brass handwheel, eliminates actuating the cylinder valve with a wrench, a lead contributor to stem damage and costly valve repairs.

The PBI and PBH series valves provide superior leak integrity over the traditionally packed valve design that relies on high assembly torque and constant tightening of the packing nut to counter dangerous leakage.

The Cavagna Group's comprehensive product line includes valves and regulators used in the industrial, acetylene, LPG, refrigerant, medical and specialty gases markets. Same day shipment is available from Cavagna's North American Distribution Center located in Branchburg, NJ and from eight strategically located distributors.

Cavagna's products are recognized by ASME, CGA, IAS and UL and are manufactured to meet the most stringent industry standards.
