Videx Announces the TouchAccess 300

Access Control with an Audit Trail for Electric Doors and Gates

CORVALLIS, OREGON, -Videx announces TouchAccess 300, a new access control system designed for a variety of applications including monitoring and restricting access to electric powered
doors and gates. TouchAccess 300 controls who has access, and what specific days and times they have access. Each time an event takes place at the lock, ToutchAccess 300 records the user's ID, location, date, and time. This information is then transferred via an infrared connection to a Palm handheld organizer, and then transferred to the PC using AuditLink access control software.

In addition to a comprehensive audit trail of entries, denied entries, and tamper events, TouchAccess 300 provides key control by using iButton keys that cannot be duplicated. Each electronic key has its own unique ID. A list of authorized user key IDs with each key's individual access privileges is stored in the TouchAccess 300. Management can quickly add user keys to the system or disable a key when it is lost or stolen.

TouchAccess 300 activates both electric strike and magnetic lock hardware. The system consists of two components: a controller and the key reader. Both can be installed in a single-gang
electrical box, or the controller can be separated and installed in a remote location when added security is needed. TouchAccess 300 can be installed as a stand-alone system and operates on
low-voltage power, 12-24 volts. Output lines can be connected to a variety of devices such as locks, alarms, cameras, and lights.
