Accelerometer measures vibration up to 5,000 g's.

Press Release Summary:

With sensitivity rating of 1.0 mV/g, Model 356B20 triaxial ICP® accelerometer has built-in signal conditioning microelectronics and shear design that offers transverse sensitivity of lower than 5%. Lightweight (0.14 oz), hermetically sealed titanium housing minimizes mass loading effects on small or light test articles. Unit measures vibration up to 5,000 g's in 3 orthogonal directions, and sensor terminates with side-mounted 8-32, 4-pin connector.

"High Range Measurement" ICP® Triaxial Acclerometers

November 1, 2003, Depew, NY - The Vibration Division of PCB Piezotronics, Inc. has introduced Model 356B20 lightweight, triaxial, ICP® accelerometer that features an extended measurement range for highly accurate vibration measurements up to 5000 g's in three orthogonal directions.

Model 356B20 has a sensitivity rating of 1.0 mV/g, and has built-in signal conditioning microelectronics that provide clean, low-impedance voltage output signals that can be transmitted over relatively long cable lengths. The shear design offers very low transverse sensitivity (typically lower than 5%), and the lightweight (0.14 oz/4.0 gram), hermetically sealed titanium housing minimizes mass loading effects on small or light test articles. The sensor terminates with a side-mounted 8-32 4-Pin connector. Typical applications include vehicle testing, flight-testing, NVH studies on engine vibration, and any application where very high g measurements are required.
