Accelerometer measures extremely high frequencies.

Press Release Summary:

Single-axis, ICP® Model 352A60 features extended flat frequency response of 5-60,000 Hz ±3 dB and peak measurement range of 500 g with sensitivity rating of 10 mV/g. Ceramic shear design offers transverse sensitivity lower than 3%, and self-contained, high-pass filter extends resonant frequency to 95 kHz. Hermetically-sealed stainless steel housing minimizes mass loading effects on small or light test articles, and terminates with top-mounted 5-44 coaxial connector.

High-Frequency ICP® Accelerometers

October 1, 2003, Depew, NY - The Vibration Division of PCB Piezotronics, Inc. has introduced Model 352A60, a lightweight, single axis, ICP® accelerometer that features an extended flat frequency response [5 Hz to 60,000 Hz (+/- 3 dB) which enables the user to accurately measure extremely high frequencies.

Model 352A60 has a sensitivity rating of 10 mV/g, with a 500 g peak measuremernt range. Built-in signal conditioning microelectronics provide clean, low-impedance voltage output signals that can be transmitted over relatively long cable lengths. The ceramic shear design offers very low transverse sensitivity (typically lower than 3%), and the self-contained, high-pass filter extends the resonant frequency to 95 kHz. The hermetically sealed stainless steel housing minimizes mass loading effects on small or light test articles, and terminates with a top-mounted 5-44 coaxial connector. Typical applications include card cages and chassis, vibration measurements of scaled models, gear mesh measurements, and NVH studies on automotive parts and brackets.
