New Compact, Totally Enclosed AC Motor from Imperial Electric
Akron, OH (June 20, 2002) Imperial Electric now offers a totally enclosed AC permanent split capacitor motor product line that is ideally suited for operating trouble free under the most demanding conditions.
The totally enclosed "clamshell" housing design, liquid-tight connectors, cast aluminum capacitor cover, heavy duty ball bearings and high-strength steel shafts provide top performance for extended service in most types of severe operating environments... even commercial food processors and meat slicers.
Typical applications include hydraulic pumps for use in material handling, conveyors and other industrial equipment such as right angle gearboxes and direct drive applications.
The face-mount units are available in power ratings of 1/4, 1/3 and 1/2 HP at 115 or 230 volts in 50 or 60 cycle AC. Overall dimensions of roughly 5.5" x 4.5" allow for use in compact and restricted areas. The two-pole electrical design provides electrical current for both clockwise and counterclockwise directions at 1350 to 1700 RPM.
