New Family of AC Inductive Sensors is Fully Featured, Lower Cost Than AC/DC Models
FLORENCE, KY (May 2005) - Balluff is introducing a new family of 18 two-wire AC inductive sensors that provides the same general performance as the company's AC/DC models, but at a lower cost.
"The majority of customers currently using AC/DC sensors only require an AC senor. In exchange for giving up the DC option, we can provide a less expensive AC-only alternative," says Inductive Sensor Product manager Craig Brockman.
The new AC prox sensors have a current load capacity of 500mA, significantly higher than the 300mA widely offered throughout the industry. These tubular style sensors are available in M12 through M30 sizes in shielded and unshielded configurations. Multiple cable lengths are available. They are ideal for non-contact presence sensing of metal objects in virtually any industry application for positioning, automation, discrete control, or process monitoring. All sensors in the AC line are designed for rugged service, and carry a lifetime warranty.
