DALLAS (June 7, 2004) - Orion Fans has developed a new series of AC fans for cooling electrical equipment and enclosures that can increase airflow 25-30 percent over current industry offerings. A breakthrough in performance via an ultra-efficient capacitor-run induction motor enables Orion's new OA109AP-11-1TBXC (115VAC version) and OA109AP-22-1TBXC (230VAC version) fans to provide airflow capacities that were previously available only in larger frame sizes.
With the new 120mm x 38mm XC series AC fans, only three fans are needed to produce airflows that previously required four in tray applications. "We are always working to develop new technologies that match the size constraints and ever-increasing airflow requirements of tomorrow's applications," said Kevin Knight, marketing manager for Orion Fans. "These technological advantages, coupled with highly-competitive pricing, provide both superior performance and significant cost savings over current industry offerings."
"The fans are currently being specified by OEMs and CEMs in electronics enclosures, industrial control cabinets, and telecommunications equipment worldwide," he continued. For larger air flow requirements the OA172XC Series offers 300 CFM airflow in a 172 mm frame.
