Tyco Electronics offers cable assemblies and receptacles that are designed to meet the VESA DisplayPort digital audio/video interconnect specification for both high and low bit rate cables. These new products enable high definition media content on computers and flat panels.

Also available are "direct drive" monitor cable assemblies for direct interconnect of DisplayPort equipped computer monitors where required.
Tyco Electronics' receptacles (base part number 2013655) for DisplayPort applications are available in a surface mount (SMT) design.
