SupraTV Processor Enables Freeview Digital, Playback (DVR) and Digital Home Theater Models for UK Market
SUNNYVALE, Calif., Sept. 5-- Zoran Corporation (NASDAQ:ZRAN) announced that its SupraTV processor powers multiple free-to- air terrestrial set-top boxes offered by Alba plc under the Bush and Goodmans brands to consumers in the United Kingdom.
Selected models will be on display in Zoran's booth at the International Broadcast Conference (IBC) in Amsterdam from Sept 8 to 12. The products on display include Freeview Digital service models as well as single integrated tuner and dual tuner models for Digital Video Recording and playback.

Zoran's integrated software delivers an easy-to-use graphical user interface, over-air-download support, and makes it easy for consumers to save high quality recordings of favorite programs to an integrated hard drive. Zoran-based products also support fast forward, rewind, skip ahead, skip back, pause, and other advanced features needed for digital video recording.
Zoran's SupraTV 152 processors integrate a MIPS32 CPU, programmable multi- stream transport demultiplexer with conditional access, flexible audio DSP supporting MPEG audio, MPEG video decoder, with a 2D graphics engine and digital video encoder. A wide array of system interfaces ensures that the SupraTV processors fully support single and dual tuner digital video recording, and decoded legacy analog signals in a digital television environment, while a programmable guest bus enables glueless connections to storage media or peripheral devices including Common Interface. The SupraTV 152 processors also integrate fully qualified MHEG-5 software for use in the U.K. market. The SupraTV 152 processor is provided with supporting reference designs, and production proven software.
