Yaskawa Engineered Systems Group Opens New Facility in Plain City

Waukegan, IL -- Yaskawa Electric Yaskawa Engineered Systems Group (YESG), a division of Yaskawa Electric America, is pleased to announce the opening of their new facility. The transfer consisted of moving within a 10-mile radius from Dublin to Plain City, Ohio.

The unique aspect of the move is the fact that YESG went from a bigger city and building to a much smaller one nearby. YESG's plant in Dublin (population 36,000+) was 25,000 square feet, while the new facility in Plain City (3,500 people) sits on an 18,400 square foot foundation.

The underlying reason for the move was to downsize and make better use of their room by using it more wisely and to their advantage. All in all, YESG needed less office space and more for manufacturing and that's what the new facility has to offer.
The new facility was specifically designed to improve factory/floor throughput, as they mainly focus on doing upgrades and retrofits for existing products. They are now able to set up robots and conveyers for press equipment in efforts of running and testing the products before shipping, rather than having to go elsewhere to do so like in the past. There are also a few small training classrooms that are used for learning non-standard products, which aren't even done at their headquarters in Waukegan, IL.

There are approximately 25 employees working at the facility located at 8628 Industrial Parkway, Unit A, Plain City, OH. 43064.
