Websense Demonstrates Unwavering Commitment to Channel Partners

Opens Websense University to Train and Enable Channel Partners Through Interactive Virtual Learning Environment

SAN DIEGO, July 13 -- Websense, Inc. (NASDAQ:WBSN), today reaffirmed its commitment to channel partners by delivering a new Web-based virtual training center called Websense® University, launching new enablement road shows, and unveiling a new SMB contest for sales representatives at Websense channel partners in the United States and Canada.

Websense renewed its channel partner pledge at the Websense Partner Conference at the Lake Las Vegas Resort in Henderson, Nev. Attendance at the event more than doubled from the last Websense channel partner event, held in 2001. At the show, Websense also recognized 16 out of more than 2,000 channel partners in the Americas with All-Star Partner awards (see release: "Websense Announces Winners of First Annual All-Star Partner Awards").

"When I joined Websense, I made a pledge: to make Websense a channel-centric company," said David Roberts, senior vice president of Americas Sales, Websense. "The entire Websense team stands behind our channel partners. All of us -- from sales to marketing, IT to product development -- are delivering on our promise to give the channel the resources it needs to be successful with innovative Websense products."

Websense today announced:

o Websense University -- a new Web-based virtual learning environment
that provides more than 50 online classes, quizzes and other supporting
materials to make it easier to do business with Websense. Channel
partners now have access to free technical and sales training resources
for Web security, content filtering and information leak prevention --
resources and tools that will continue to grow in number. One new tool
available on Websense University is the new Websense Express Deployment
Wizard that combines a mixture of deployment concepts, system
requirements and installation checklists. Channel partners can access
Websense University through the Partner Portal, available at
http://www.websense.com/partner.

o "Full Throttle" Channel Contest -- a new contest that runs through 2007
to reward channel sales representatives with the most small and
medium-sized business (SMB) transactions (those with fewer than 1,000
seats) of Websense Web Security Suite, Websense Enterprise and Websense
Express. Top winners could receive prizes including a classic Orange
County Choppers(TM) Motorcycle, a Bose Surround System and Orange
County Choppers(TM) leather jackets. Details are available at
http://websense.com/fullthrottle.

o "Power Through Partnership" Enablement Road Show -- free, channel
partner enablement training sessions in cities throughout the United
States. These half-day events will focus on providing channel
partners with the latest tools and knowledge to sell the value of
Websense products. August events are in Atlanta (8/6), Dallas (8/8),
Chicago (8/13), and San Francisco (8/15). To register for an event,

"Today's announcement builds on the progress Websense has made over the last year in its transformation toward a pure channel sales model," added Roberts.

In August 2006, Websense launched a new North American channel partner program and formed a business relationship in North America with Ingram Micro, the world's largest distributor of information technology. Since then, Websense has added new features to its channel program, including new resources for channel partners focused on Web security and information leak prevention.

Websense has also won numerous awards including the CompTIA "Best Channel Strategy" Award in 2006 and the 2007 VAR Business Channel 5-Star Partner Program award. VAR Business Magazine also recognized Websense Senior Vice President of Americas Sales David Roberts as a 2007 "Channel Chief" for his work at Websense.
