Vonage Appoints Mike Snyder Chief Executive Officer; Citron Elevated to New Role as Chairman and Chief Strategist
Snyder to Take on Day-to-Day Operations and Citron Will Continue on as Chairman, Elevates Into Global Strategy Role to Apply Vision to Vonage's New Efforts
HOLMDEL, N.J., Feb. 8 /PRNewswire/ -- Vonage Holdings Corp., a holding company whose entities include Vonage America, a leading provider of broadband phone service, today announced that its founder and Chairman of the Board, Jeffrey A. Citron, will assume a new role -- Chairman and Chief Strategist -- so that he can dedicate his time to focusing on moving the company into new product areas, technologies, growth opportunities, and employee culture. Vonage also announced today that Mike Snyder will become Chief Executive Officer of Vonage Holdings Corp., taking over the day-to-day operations of the various entities within the Vonage umbrella.
Mike Snyder comes to Vonage from ADT, part of Tyco Fire and Security, where he has held the title of president since 1997. During his tenure as president of ADT, Mr. Snyder grew the company to serve over 6 million customers in the US and Canada, increasing revenues over six-fold. He began his career there in 1977, having worked his way up through various sales, marketing and operational roles.
