Volvo Recognises Schaeffler as an Added Value Supplier

Passenger car and truck manufacturer Volvo has recognised Schaeffler Group as one of its top ten suppliers in 2008 for the supply of wheel bearing units for trucks.

Schaeffler received a 'Best Supplier 2008' Award from Volvo in recognition of the company's excellent quality, delivery accuracy, custom product innovations, cost effectiveness and continuous creative and positive collaboration.

"We are very proud to receive this recognition," commented Dr. Jûrgen M. Geissinger, President & CEO at Schaeffler Group. "It shows that we are not only among the best bearing manufacturers world-wide, but that we are also able to create added value as a system supplier with expertise in complex technical solutions for engines, transmissions and chassis. To be honoured as Volvo's supplier of the year is recognition and incentive at the same time. We will continue to do everything in our power to develop sophisticated and cost-effective technological system solutions together with our customers."
