VMAC Sponsors Nanaimo Community Hospice’s 2019 Hike for Hospice Event
Nanaimo, B.C. - VMAC was proud to support Nanaimo Community Hospice’s signature fundraising event, Hike for Hospice, with a $2,500 Platinum Sponsorship and a large team to participate in the walk/run. Nanaimo Community Hospice provides compassionate programs, services, and support to all members of the community free of charge.
“Nanaimo Community Hospice is an integral part of our community and is a great fit for VMAC’s Corporate Sponsorship Program” notes Tod Gilbert, VMAC President. “We’re happy to support this non-profit charitable organization that supports individuals of all ages and cultures, and their families, who are facing end-of-life issues, including death, caregiving, and bereavement.”

Hike for Hospice is an annual fundraiser, with the 2019 hike being the most successful event in recent years. With approximately 200 participants in attendance, over $40,000 was raised. Support from local business and individuals is vital, as Nanaimo Community Hospice receives no government funding.
