Vantage Acquires Griptex Non-Slip
The Coated Fabrics Division of Leggett & Platt recently acquired Griptex, a manufacturer of non-slip textile products for the home. Griptex products include Wonderliner shelf liners, non-slip rug underlay, liners for the supermarket industry and OEM products for RV-marine, medical, industrial and automotive industries.
"Griptex non slip products are a good fit for us and complement the current Vantage line of coated fabrics used inside and outside the home. We look forward to creating an even more extensive and innovative line of non slip products useful to homeowners, using both the Vantage and Griptex names," says Robert Weber, President, L&P Coated Fabrics Division.
The Griptex facility will continue to operate in Cartersville, GA.
During the same time frame, L&P also acquired the assets of American Non-Slip, including Premiere(TM) and Mega-Loc non-slip rug pads, with plans to incorporate them into existing Vantage operations.
