Vanguard Announces Next Day Support for DoD DISA STIG 6.4
DoD DISA Releases Newest Security Technical Information Guide 6.4 for IBM z/OS Server (Mainframe Computer)

Last Friday the DoD Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) released the newest version of its Security Technical Information Guides (STIG). This is widely accepted as the 'Gold Standard' among Federal Agencies, civilian partners and highly recommended by Gartner (Gartner Research ID G00172909 dated January 20, 2010). The National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) endorses the DISA STIG as the security configuration control standard for FISMA compliance for large enterprise computer systems (mainframes).
The Vanguard checklist is available on Vanguard's website www.go2vanguard.com in Text or XML formats, and supports versions 5.2, 6.3 and now the newest version 6.4 of the DISA STIG.
