Linde Gas LLC Signs Hydrogen Contract with Shell
CLEVELAND, (April 17, 2006) - Linde Gas LLC announced today that it will build and operate an on site hydrogen steam methane reformer at the Shell Chemical LP plant in Mobile, Ala. From this facility, Linde will supply industrial grade hydrogen facilitating Gas Oil Hydrotreating by Shell at Mobile. The scheduled start-up for the Linde facility is November 2007.
"Linde's hydrogen generating technology provides Shell Chemical LP with the most cost effective source of hydrogen for hydrotreating its refinery Gas Oil streams," said Gene Allen, Linde Gas' Vice President North America for On-site Business. "This project marks a significant extension of Linde's focus of being a world class design, engineering and construction company to an owner and operator of the plants we build for the refining industry. We are especially pleased to be partnering with Shell Chemical LP to further expand their production capabilities at their plant in Mobile, Ala."
Building upon the mutual relationship between Linde and Shell Chemical LP, this latest contract represents Linde's fourth on site hydrogen generation plant serving the North American marketplace.
